Now Offering Balloon Sinuplasty – A Breakthrough in Sinus Health!
Dr. Ellis is proud to announce the inclusion of balloon sinuplasty as a part of our diverse treatment options for patients with sinus problems. With Balloon Sinuplasty, ENT doctors open inflamed sinuses in the same way that heart surgeons open up blocked arteries during balloon angioplasty. The procedure is less invasive than traditional sinus surgery, and effective at relieving symptoms of chronic sinusitis. Balloon Sinuplasty allows patients to return to normal activities quickly. Unlike conventional sinus surgery, it does not include removal of bone or tissue from the nose. Balloon Sinuplasty may be performed in the OR under general anesthesia or selectively in the office with no need to go to an operating room or undergo general anesthesia.

Sinus pain relief without traditional surgical discomfort.
Until recently, patients who needed surgery to correct chronic nasal and sinus problems, including nose bleeds, sinus headaches and excessive post-nasal drainage, faced expensive hospital bills and extended recovery time. But thanks to endoscopic sinus surgery, infected sinuses and blocked nasal passages can be treated to relieve your condition on an outpatient basis. As a result, you’ll experience less discomfort and a shorter recovery period. We’re the first practice in the area to offer endoscopic sinus surgery and our experienced specialists have completed many successful nasal procedures.

The problem can be eliminated with an outpatient procedure, and your child will be home the same day. Our specialists have also completed thousands of successful surgeries to remove tumors from the thyroid and other areas of the neck and head.
Snoring solutions help everyone get a good night’s sleep.
Snoring is caused by a variety of problems occurring in your nose, sinuses, mouth and throat. We carefully evaluate each patient’s condition. Often, treating the problem is as simple as treating allergies. Some will require a special laser procedure to shorten the palate. A brand new technology, called somnoplasty, is available through our office. Most of the treatments used are quick, convenient, and cause little or no discomfort.

Styles of Hearing Aids Include:
Micro CIC (Deep Canal Fitting)
Fit deeply inside your ear canal. Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) hearing instruments are the smallest, custom-designed hearing instruments. Hidden in the shadow of your ear canal, they fit deep inside your ear and are virtually invisible.
Complete In The Canal (CIC)
Small and cosmetically discreet. The CIC instruments fit completely in the canal and are custom-made. There is a clear nylon string to help with insertion and removal.
In The Canal (ITC)
These are larger than the CIC devices. Small enough to fit almost entirely in your ear canal. In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing instruments are custom-designed to fit almost entirely in the ear canal. Less visible than In-the-Ear models, ITCs take up only about one quarter of the concha – the indented, bowl-like outer portion of your ear. ITC hearing instruments are created specifically to fit your unique ear size and shape. They may have manual controls for volume and special listening programs, or these features may function automatically – giving you the option of how much or how little you control your instrument.
Half Shell (HS)
These devices can be used for a wide variety of hearing losses. Due to their size, HS hearing aids allow for larger sound amplifiers and more features such as a telephone switch or a second microphone. The case is custom made out of a hard plastic material. As shown, the hearing aid case houses all of the miniaturized hearing aid parts.
In The Ear (ITE)
All parts of the hearing aid are contained in a shell that fills in the outer part of the ear. The ITE aids are larger than the in-the-canal and completely-in-the-canal aids (see below), and for some people may be easier to handle than smaller aids.
Behind The Ear (BTE)
The world’s most popular hearing aids. Most parts are contained in a small plastic case that rests behind the ear; the case is connected to an earmold or an earpiece by a piece of clear tubing. BTE aids are easy to be cleaned and handled, and are relatively sturdy.
Micro or Mini Behind the Ear
Micro or Mini BTE hearing aids present a smaller, cosmetically appealing option to patients with mild to moderate hearing loss. This design offers comfort and acoustic options as the processor is placed behind the ear and the speaker is placed in the ear. Because the ear canal is left open, you will not experience the “stuffed up” feeling or the sensation of your voice sounding strange.
